Roger Stortenbecker, Collaborative Industries Chief Development Officer

As Vice President of Talent and Leadership Development, Roger applies the positive lessons from his years of learning and experience to the work and projects of Collaborative Industries. As a consultant, Roger coaches organizations to improve employee engagement and retention. He coaches individuals, managers, leaders and teams to identify and build their natural talents into strengths thus reaching near-perfect performance. He coaches individuals and organizations on how to build a thriving startup, gather winning teams, find new customers and achieve the best life imaginable. 

Roger began his career in community-based developmental disability services in 1977 with the Lancaster Office of Mental Retardation where he provided direct support, vocational, supported employment, and residential services in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1989 Roger accepted a position as Program Specialist with Nebraska Health and Human Services, Division of Developmental Disabilities. In March of 2003, Roger left his position as Director of the Division to take the Chief Operations Officer position at Developmental Services of Nebraska. He and three partners formed Collaborative Industries in 2006.

Roger is a Certified CliftonStrengths Coach by Gallup and a BP10 Coach.

He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and is a Board Member of Families Inspiring Families. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, any outdoor activity, supporting his Cornhuskers and traveling and exploring craft and cottage enterprises.
