As CEO of Collaborative Industries, Brian Kanter provides leadership and vision to all of Collaborative and its affiliates. His drive and dedication to the rights of individuals and families served through state and local human services has been instrumental to the success of Collaborative Industries.
Drawing on more than 20 years’ experience in the field of human services, Brian has played a key role in the development of multiple new companies. He founded his first human service organization in 2001. In 2005, that highly successful organization ultimately merged with another business.
Brian served as Chief Development Officer of the merged entity until 2006 when he played a lead role in the formation of Collaborative Industries. Since then, Collaborative Industries has grown into a rapidly expanding network of organizations and expanded services throughout the region and across multiple industry lines.
He holds a Master's in Business Administration, is the Board President of the Nebraska Association of Service Providers (NASP) and is an Executive Board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Lincoln.
Brian enjoys the mantra ‘work hard; play hard’. When he is not working, he is trying to keep up with his four children: Jadyn, Krew, Logan and Koen, his wife Sarah, their 2 cats and their German Sheppard, Eassa. Brian holds travel in high regard. So much so that he and his wife started a travel company, Those Who Wander Travel, which Sarah runs. With a full work schedule, he enjoys traveling with his wife and children as much as he is able to get away. While a self-proclaimed ‘foodie’, he also enjoys fitness and personal development. He is typically out of bed before sunrise and reading a book when the sunsets.
