Betty Ferdinand

Quality Improvement Coordinator

Betty was born on March 27th Nineteen Fifty-One
A birth date now shared with her nephew and son

Life in the old days was simple and safe
Elk Creek, Nebraska was a quiet place

Growing up with Mrs. Cluck, Cinnamon and Possum
Adventures on a small farm were uniquely awesome

Amidst the poverty, day to day struggles and more
There was always laughter and music to even the score

Writing, singing and telling a tale or two
Betty likes to share stories old and new

In the 70s, social issues took center stage
A commitment to do social work was all the rage

A young man from California came to build a center for youth
With him, a life-long marriage and family was the final truth

Raising two children has been the greatest treasure
And has been filled with nothing but pleasure

Together they have travelled far and near
Something they’ll do when retirement’s here

Betty enjoys collecting things new and old
Movies, sports, and wine….white and cold

Betty likes to help with whatever needs to be done
And lives by her motto: Life is a gift; have fun
