What is Collaborative Industries and how did it come to be?

CII has evolved from realizing the strength that is born from diversity of the network of entities managed. In an age of limited resources and high expectations regarding quality services, creativity and shared costs is a must. CII's structure and service allows for the small company to have exceptional customer services and oversight to ensure sustainability into the future.

One of our member organizations was established in the Spring of 2006 to provide Community-Based services to people with Developmental Disabilities and, or Mental Health needs. CII was founded in the Fall of 2006 upon a belief that weaving together the strengths and experiences of talented individuals and organizations in a collaborative environment would produce high quality, meaningful results for our customers. In the Spring of 2007, another member organization, Developmental Services of Missouri, Inc., was established to meet the needs of Missourians with Developmental Disabilities and, or Mental Health needs. Also, as of the Spring of 2008, CII began Managing Developmental Services of Nebraska, Inc., another agency supporting people with Developmental Disabilities and, or Mental Health needs in a community based settings.

At the very heart of its' design, Community-Based Developmental Disability services must practice efficient use of limited resources. The business savvy and interpersonal skills needed to successfully operate in the community based disability services arena are applicable to many types of business.

What does it cost to contract with CII?

CII's fee policy is a good example of our straightforward, transparent company: CII is different than most management companies in that it does not believe in creating “profit centers” to embed in its contracts. Many management companies try to make their profit by tagging certain costs and inflating them. Generally, CII will base our management fee on the revenue of the client and charge a percentage of revenue or flat cost as a management fee. This should speak volumes as to our confidence in our ability to support the clients quality and grow their revenue. In the event of a start up agency or small business, this fee is negotiable until the organization can financially sustain this fee. This approach allows us to work with any size budget and still meet the budget goals.
